The SUMINOE GROUP also offers new value in the field of biotechnology, under the theme of KKR+A, or Kenko (Health), Kankyo (Environment), Recycle and Amenity. Since 2012, we have collaborated with Kanazawa University to study the functionality of health foods and cosmetics ingredients, to produce and sell them. Since the end of November 2017, we have launched the commercialization of health foods and supplements harnessing the functionality of persimmon polyphenol extracted from persimmons grown in Nara Prefecture, in collaboration with the Faculty of Agriculture, Kindai University.

Strawberry polyphenol extract and powder

Leveraging the unique flavor characteristics of natural extracts, it has been used in foods, cosmetics, and more. Since insoluble solid contents are removed, these processed ingredients are easy to add to various products.
It can be developed into products focused on health and beauty, such as antioxidation, anti-obesity, skin-whitening, anti-inflammatory, and anti-allergic products.
In addition, it retains the characteristic flavor of natural extracts, allowing it to be used as a natural flavoring ingredient.
