The Suminoe Textile Group conducts business operations on a global basis, having the advantages of stable production and quick delivery.
The Suminoe Textile Group has accelerated its overseas expansion, mainly into Asia and North and Central America, since 1994 when it established an overseas subsidiary in Thailand. To date, our Group has expanded its overseas presence to include 13 business sites in seven countries. We deliver automotive textiles to Japanese automobile manufacturers located in each country, in accordance with their requirements. In China and Vietnam, we manufacture electric carpets. Through the active recruitment of local employees, the Suminoe Textile Group is committed to helping to create jobs in the respective regions.

In 2003, Suminoe Textile of America Corporation (STA) was established as a wholly owned subsidiary of Suminoe Textile Co., Ltd. Since then, STA has expanded the scope of its operations to include the automotive seat covering materials business, the carpet and mat businesses, and then the needle punch business. It has now grown into one of Suminoe Textile’s largest global establishments.

In 2015, Suminoe Textile of America Corp. acquired 100% of the shares of Bondtex, Inc., making it a subsidiary of STA. The purpose of the acquisition was to enable STA to expand its business areas to downstream sectors, so as to establish a system to adaptively respond to the requirements of automobile manufacturers and Tier-1 suppliers.

Suminoe Textile de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. (STM) is a 100%-owned subsidiary of Suminoe Textile of America Corp. STM was set up in 2013 as a manufacturing factory of car mats. Currently, STM is also engaged in the carpet business. The company aims to continue to augment its business, in accordance with Mexico’s economic development and increasing customer demand.
